Rooted in Grace Class
Is it for me?
Rooted in Grace is a four night class for those who are new to the church, for individuals who want to know more about our church, and for those who are seeking membership.
If you attend the class, you will receive a statement of Faith, the church by-laws, and a book called Church Membership by Jonathan Leeman.
The purpose of this class is to give individuals the opportunity to become familiar with Grace and Truth’s church government, the importance of church membership, and distinct doctrines that we hold to. This class is also a requirement for those seeking church membership.
The goal of this class is for men and women to become rooted so they can grow in the grace of God and the glories of the gospel. The purpose of the church is to edify the saints and equip them for service. (Eph. 4: 12) Our goal is to see that realized in the lives of everyone who is a part of Grace and Truth.
What is expected of those who attend?
Individuals are expected to listen and ask whatever questions they may have. You will also be required to read Church Membership by Jonathan Leeman. Books will be given to those participating in the class ahead of time so please read chapters 1 and 2 before the first class.
The class is on Monday nights starting at 7:00 and lasting for approximately an hour.
We generally offer these classes in the spring and the fall.
Our spring Rooted In Grace sessions will begin on February 26th, and will be held every Monday night through March 18th.
